What to expect from your assessment
If drugs or alcohol are affecting your life, it’s important to know that support is available and dependency is treatable.
Whether you’re ready to stop or just looking to explore your options, we’re here to help.
Our service is free and confidential and we offer non-judgemental support tailored to your needs.
Your first appointment
When you refer yourself, we aim to offer you a confidential assessment appointment within 21 days. During your assessment, you’ll:
- Discuss your situation: We’ll ask questions to understand your drug or alcohol use and any challenges you’re facing.
- Explore your options: Together, we’ll create a personalised plan to help you reach your goals, whether that’s reducing, stopping, or stabilising your use.
- Plan for wider support: If needed, we can discuss additional support, such as help with housing, finances, or mental health.
Our assessments are designed to be flexible:
• Most assessments take place over the phone and last up to 45 minutes.
• Prefer to meet face-to-face? We can arrange an in-person appointment.
• If a prescription may be needed, we’ll plan a longer session (up to 60 minutes) or combine a phone appointment with an in-person visit to ensure you receive safe and effective care.
Taking the first step is simple:
